Signs your website has been copied.
Fake websites take real money, passwords and personal details from people who trust you, then disappear and reappear on a new domain. The damage lands on your name, your reviews and your inbox.
If any of these sound familiar, act today. The longer a fake site stays live, the more of your customers it reaches.
A customer asks about an order, a login or a payment you have no record of.
They used a site that looked like yours, and you only hear about it once something has gone wrong.
An ad uses your name but links to a different website.
Fake sites are often promoted with paid ads or phishing emails aimed at your own customers.
Someone sends you a link that is almost your address.
One letter is different, a word like “outlet” or “sale” has been added, or the ending has changed to .shop, .store or .co.
Your content, logo or photos appear on a website you do not run.
The images are often loaded straight from your own servers, which is evidence in itself.
The fake site asks visitors for something yours never would.
A login page that is not yours, a card form, a donation page, or a booking form that harvests enquiries.
Built for every kind of website that gets impersonated.

Dear Abuse Team,
I am writing on behalf of Acme Paints Ltd, the operator of acmepaints.co.uk, to report that the domain acmepaints-outlet.shop, registered 2 October 2026 via Northwind Domains, LLC, is being used for a fraudulent website that impersonates our business.

How Takedown Pack compares with doing it yourself or hiring a vendor.
You can report a fake site yourself, and our guides show how. You can also pay an enterprise brand-protection vendor. Takedown Pack sits in between: the research, evidence, drafting and follow-up are done for you, at a price for an organisation that is impersonated a few times a year rather than a few times a day.
Enterprise pricing is based on the quotes our founder was given; most vendors do not publish prices.

“Fake copies of our own shops appeared on domains we had never seen, using our name and our product photos. It took us days to work out who to report them to, and the brand-protection vendors we approached quoted hundreds to thousands of pounds a month. We built Takedown Pack to do that work properly for a one-off price.”

Is it legal to report a website that impersonates mine?
Yes. Registrars, hosting providers, Cloudflare, Google and Microsoft all run abuse and copyright reporting channels precisely so that rights holders can report sites that impersonate them or copy their content. What matters is that what you report is true. That is why you review and approve every report, and why you have to verify you own the real domain before anything can be sent.
Will the fake site really be taken down?
We cannot promise it, and nobody honestly can: registrars and hosts decide for themselves. What we can do is make each report as easy as possible to act on, with the right recipient, complete evidence, the wording each channel expects, and a polite follow-up when the first report is ignored, which is common. Browser warnings from Google and Microsoft often arrive independently of the host, so a fake site can stop reaching most visitors even before it is removed.
The fake site is behind Cloudflare. Can it still be reported?
Yes. Cloudflare is not the host; it sits in front of the host. The free check tells you whether the site is proxied through Cloudflare, and the pack includes the report for Cloudflare's abuse form, which passes complaints on to the real hosting provider. The registrar, browser blocklists and search engines do not depend on knowing the host at all.
How long does it take?
The free check takes about 20 seconds. The evidence and drafts are prepared automatically as soon as you start the pack, so you can approve and send the same day. After that it depends on the recipients: some act within a day, some need chasing, and some never respond. We recheck the site daily and draft follow-ups for 30 days, and you can see each report's status throughout.
The domain owner is anonymous. Does that matter?
No. Most domains have their owner details redacted for privacy, and fraudsters use fake details anyway. You do not need to know who is behind the site. Reports go to the companies that provide the domain and the hosting, and they can act on their own customer.
Are reports sent in my name?
Yes. You, or someone you name in your team, are the signatory. Email reports are sent from our system with your address as the reply-to, so the abuse desk replies to you. Form-based reports (Google, Microsoft, Cloudflare, search removal, Action Fraud) are prepared for you to paste and submit yourself.
Can anything be sent without me seeing it?
No. Every report waits for a named person to read the exact text and approve it. There is no auto-send. Before the first report can go anywhere you also verify that you control your real domain, with a DNS record or a meta tag.
Do I need a registered trade mark?
It helps, and the reports will cite it if you have one, but it is not required. A fake website usually copies your photos and text, which you own the copyright in automatically, and impersonating a business to take payments or details is fraud whether or not the name is registered.
What data do you keep?
The fake site's address, the lookups about it, the evidence we capture and the reports you approve. For your account, your email and the signatory details that appear on reports. Card payments are handled by our payment provider; we never see card numbers. The privacy notice has the detail.
